Healing the lasting impact of overwhelming and relational trauma.

Trauma often lives not only in memory, but in the nervous system, the body, and patterns of relating to yourself and others. Many clients come to therapy feeling chronically overwhelmed, emotionally shut down, hypervigilant, or disconnected without fully understanding why.

At Lumi, trauma treatment focuses on establishing safety, building nervous system regulation, and gradually helping clients understand and heal the deeper emotional impact of their experiences.

How We Help

Attachment-Informed Therapy
Helps clients understand how early relational experiences shaped their sense of safety, trust, and emotional regulation. Therapy provides a new relational experience grounded in consistency and attunement.

Psychodynamic Therapy
Helps uncover how trauma continues to influence present-day emotional responses, relationships, and identity, allowing patterns to become understood rather than automatic.

Movement-Based and Somatic Healing
We integrate Chi for Two® and personalized somatic yoga to support trauma healing at the level of the body and nervous system. Through guided relational movement and individualized somatic practices, clients begin to shift these patterns directly.

Psychodrama and Experiential Methods
Help process unresolved emotional experiences, including intergenerational trauma, in ways that create new emotional resolution — not just intellectual understanding.

Skills-Based Work
Helps clients develop tools to regulate distress, manage emotional activation, and establish internal stability.
